Can not be sereous! I'm on vacation in Thailand and cant use the autopilot app i purchased because of this for 30,-€. My Mavic nearly crashed into the ocean in the waypoint mode. When will a bugfix be available??

@tim : from my understanding it sounds a lot like DJI broke something in the SDK without knowledge / warning. Also, 30€ is not a huge price to pay for such a great software. Also, it seems that some flight modes still work fine with specific LCMC setting)

@hangar : front page says that human modes are ok but not this page. Which is right ? Also, it sounds like Inspire 1 is ok, can you confirm ?

Tim - DJI is currently investigating the issue but has not indicated a timeline for releasing a correction. However, when / if an update becomes available, we will be sure to let our users know.

Hakanido - Apologies for the confusion and thank you for pointing that out! I have updated our FAQ to reflect the same information as our page. Human Flight Control Modes such as Black Box and Focus are still ok to use. We have not had any reports of this happening with the Inspire 1 yet. However, if  there any reports, we will investigate and test.

..I have downgraded the Mavic to .400 firmware, is it going to run safe with the Autopilot?

@george On marche 2nd I did a 7 minutes follow flight with operator as subject with the previous firmware and it was fine, even with the subject (me) running downhill, altitude was adjusted on the fly.

But I did no know you could downgrade. how do you do that ?

..you can use the DJI Assistant to downgrade, but unfortunately only one version back.

What a terrible way to do business, you make no mention of these serious issues on iTunes. You should update the app bio to say "does not work with latest versions of software for Mavic, P4P or i2" if for no other reason than t avoid the appearance of false advertisement.

@Jeff I'm not trying to defend Hangar here but the whole iTunes process of posting updates and changing stuff on the store is VERY tedious. Also, this issue is recent (only 2 weeks) and I pretty sure hangar / DJI are working to fix it.

Some kind of update on the situation would be appreciated, though.

Jeff - Sorry for the confusion! Our iTunes does state in the app that it does not work at all with Mavic, Phantom for Pro or Inspire 2, and that we're developing this functionality to come soon. We also have this on our website. If you let us know where you see any listings that do not mention this, we'll be happy to update. Thanks for your help.

Hakanido - Posted an update this morning!

Having just purchased this app it's disappointing to find out I can't use it because Autopilot and Mavic Pro on v01.03.0500 may be erratic. I've read elsewhere on Hangar that v01.03.0200 or earlier is stable; How about v01.03.0400 which Assistant can rollback to (and I'm still on now)? Or has this not yet been tested or confirmed?

So I tried today the Waypoints with LCMC enabled on my Mavic and this what happened https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKAgbAX6ocU&t=21s

This has a camera trigger POI along the waypoints. The camera was focus if the subject is the operator but with camera trigger it wasn't. Any thoughts? Please help maybe I'm missing something... Thanks!

I downgraded my Mavic to x.400 and it is working perfectly. Just sometimes the autopilot app crashes during waypoint mission. The mavic than directly stop and hover...

@Tim Thanks! I'm actually thinking of downgrading :D

Thanks Tim, I'll stay on x.400 and try some tests later. We're rained-in for a few days so perfect opportunity to cozy-up with the tutorials and male some flight-plans for later.

As a developer I feel for you guys at Hangar, gee thanks DJI. And yes, it's silly to have to endure the app review process just to make a change on the app page; iTunes should give us a way to post advisories just for this sort of thing.

No refund needed, there are plenty of happy Autopilot testimonials before DJI's ooops, so I'll standby. Very nice interface BTW, looking forward to the tutorials and learning the ropes.

I tried Autopilot for the first time ever today, with the latest firmware on my Phantom 4 Pro. From lift-off I noticed the motors sounding weird. There were also flashing lights I've never seen before. The entire path I'd configured seemed jittery and not smooth at all.

My question at this point is: Is this related to the firmware issue? Or should I expect future waypoint flights to be jittery messes, and to have weird engine sounds, such as the one I witnessed today?

That is exactly what happened when i tried a waypoint-mission with firmware x.500. After i downgraded my mavic to x.400 everything was ok and the missions are smooth like before.

I have the same behaviour with waypoints with may my mavic x.400 as Tim Sperwer.

Sometimes Autopilot crashes during the mission. Can't figure out why this happens. I am using a iPad mini 2.

I wonder if screenrecording might be overtasking your device causing the app to crash? When I screenrecord, the live video stutters too much on my iPhone screen so unfortunately I can't use it.

DJI released new FW today, is the new version x.550 restoring the functionality of AutoPilot and Hangar360?

    Hakanido Lakanito

If it is, it's not very clear in the release notes.... or maybe it's the "

    Improved hovering performance" item...

Unfortunately, the issue is still present. We just posted the update on both Facebook pages and both FAQs. If you all can think of any other outlet it should be on, please email us at support@hangar.com. Thanks!

Kerstin, I'm curious : for your app to communicate / work with the API/SDK, do you need to have the DJI-GO app installed on the iPhone, or the autopilot app in build WITH the sdk inside and would work even without the DJI app being present on the iPhone ?

(my point will come after your reply..   ;-)  )

OK, so outside of Hangar 360 missions, what is the recommended firmware to fly for the DJI Mavic Pro with the latest version of AutoPilot with LCMC enabled?

Should I stay on .400 or upgrade to .550?

Can we have some clear guidance, please?  Based on your 4/5/2017 update, no currently available version from .400 to .550 of the Mavic Pro is safe to fly...I understand you believe the burden is with DJI to fix the SDK or whatever, but this situation is unacceptable.

In Cruise mode the aircrafts, Mavic Pro (v01.03.600) and Phantom 4 Pro (v01.03.0509) still have drift behavior.
