4/6/17 - We recently tested and confirmed that it is possible to use DJI's Assistant Software to downgrade the Mavic Pro's firmware to v01.03.0400. Doing this will allow Autopilot to work safely with the Mavic Pro.
We do not recommend using Autopilot on the Mavic Pro firmware below:
4/5/17 - We have tested the newest firmware released by DJI for the Mavic Pro - v01.03.0550. Unfortunately, this release did not resolve the firmware issue.
The current list for the affected Mavic Pro firmware is:
We do not recommend* using Autopilot if you are using these versions of firmware.
* It is still possible to safely use Human Flight Control Modes and Waypoint Mode as long as Lost Connection is set to Continue Mission (LCMC).
3/24/17 - We recently confirmed that it is possible to use DJI's Assistant Software to downgrade the Phantom 4 Pro's previous firmware. Doing this will allow Autopilot to work safely with the Phantom 4 Pro.
The Mavic Pro and Inspire 2 cannot be downgraded because the previous versions are affected too.
3/20/17 - DJI has acknowledged the issue but has not given us a timeline for a potential fix. They have also stated that the recent firmware updates do not allow for the option to downgrade due to regulatory issues related to certain features that were included in the update. Given this fact, combined with the lack of a timeline, the only option would be to acquire a supported aircraft type (Phantom 3 Standard, Phantom 3 Advanced, Phantom 3 Professional, the Phantom 4 standard, or the Inspire 1) until Autopilot is fully compatible with the affected aircraft types.
3/6/17 - There is currently an issue with the latest DJI firmware for the Mavic Pro v 01.03.0500, Inspire 2 v 01.0.0240, and Phantom 4 Pro v 01.03.0418, which causes erratic flight behavior in Autopilot. We do not recommend* using Autopilot with these aircraft types until a resolution has been found for this issue.
